2002 Mercury Grand Marquis

Mercury's Grand Marquis has carved its own niche in the full-sized sedan market
as a car that offers not only a bargain price tag but great performance, assured
safety and enhanced comfort features. The 2002 Mercury Grand Marquis is available
in two trim levels---the GS and the LS. The LS series is offered as the LS Premium,
LSE and LS Ultimate package. On the other hand, the GS is available in its base
and Convenience level. Inside the Marquis a surprisingly spacious room showcases
comfortable seats that are swathed in lush leather which is a new feature for
the LS Premium, Ultimate and LSE.
A center console contains a storage bin, padded armrest, two cup holders, and
center stack mini-bin with cigar lighter. Another new arrival this year is the
standard steering wheel-mounted audio and climate controls on LS Ultimate and
LSE versions. Several new colors have been made available to give Marquis' customers
a wider field of choice; dual foldaway mirrors also make a sudden appearance.
Bright, vertical-rail chrome grille, jeweled headlights, and integrated parking
lights and cornering lights are new accessories that give the Marquis a modern
look. The 2002 Mercury Grand Marquis is fitted with a 4.6-litre, SOHC V8 engine
that delivers 220 horsepower and 265 lbs-ft of torque coupled to a four-speed
automatic transmission with overdrive.
