2003 Mercury Grand Marquis

For 2003, the Mercury Grand Marquis went through automotive surgery and had its
looks and performance enhanced and revitalized. Because of the new firmer structure,
the 2003 Marquis offers a quieter and more solid ride that does away with the
engine noise and rattling common to other sedans. This year's frame is a brand
new design, it is the first with hydroformed front and rear extensions and new
cross members.
Not only that, 2003 also brings in the speed-sensitive variable power-assisted
rack-and-pinion steering; a redesigned independent short- and long-arm front suspension,
optional dual side air bags, new headlamps, side markers, grille, front fascia
and deck lid applique new seat styles and materials, new instrument panel wood
grains, new wheels on all models, and a new overhead console design.
Other additional features are the standard anti-lock brakes and traction control,
foldaway, power-adjustable and heated outside mirrors, and a storage pouch in
the driver's seat. All models are now equipped with dual-media radio with AM/FM
cassette and single CD player.
